Job Description This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. The Impact You’ll Make in this Role Analyzing information using statistical techniques to drive data driven decisions by being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in statistical techniques. Promoting continuous improvement and defect reduction through root cause investigation, CAPA, kaizen, 8D, FMEA, MSA and Control Plans. Reviewing customer product complaints for timely customer feedback and resolution. Supporting existing product evolution and improvement through change management (CMP) Identifying, planning, recommending, and supporting manufacturing quality improvements Develop, execute and analyze product and process qualification plans Leading, executing and coaching on product design reviews, FMEAs, test method development, and other key quality tools Managing and driving supplier management activities in support of new and existing products. Experience with films, adhesives, web based and mixing processes. Willingness to maintain flexible hours and travel to support improvement activities across global operations. Your Skills And Expertise Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or Science discipline(completed and verified prior to start) Four (4) years of combined Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering and Quality experience in a private, public, government or military environment Additional Qualifications Six (6) years of combined Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering and Quality experience in a private, public, government or military environment Experience with direct customer interaction in a high-tech industry (electronics, semiconductor, medical, automotive, aerospace, etc.) Knowledge of statistical data analysis, sampling plans, statistical process control and capability studies Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Green Belt Experience working with ISO 9001:2015 Supplier auditor or internal auditor experience Experience working on a global cross-functional team. Communication, writing influencing and conflict resolution skills. Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
