Asset Manager – Conventional Multifamily Position Overview Our organization is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Asset Manager to oversee the financial and operational performance of a conventional multifamily portfolio. This position partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive asset performance, execute business plans, and maximize investment returns. The successful candidate will lead strategic initiatives, evaluate financial performance, influence operational decision-making, and provide executive-level reporting while serving as a trusted advisor across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead asset management for a portfolio of conventional multifamily communities managed both in-house and by third-party operators. Own property financial performance, including NOI, occupancy, revenue growth, operating expenses, cash flow, and investment returns. Lead weekly operational reviews with Regional Managers and Property Managers to identify risks, opportunities, and action plans. Review monthly financial statements, identify trends and variances, and recommend strategies to improve performance. Develop annual operating budgets, forecasts, business plans, and capital improvement strategies. Prepare executive dashboards, investor reports, and portfolio presentations. Evaluate pricing, renewals, concessions, leasing velocity, delinquency, and expense management. Perform hold/sell analyses, refinancing evaluations, acquisition integration, and disposition support. Partner with Accounting, Operations, Acquisitions, and executive leadership on strategic initiatives. Build and improve portfolio analytics, KPI reporting, and financial models. Qualifications 3+ years of multifamily asset management experience. Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills; Argus experience preferred. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and investor reporting. Demonstrated ability to influence operations and improve asset performance. Excellent executive communication and presentation skills. Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, accounting, business, or related field.
