Sees their clients as whole people, not diagnoses. Values their own life experiences as part of their therapeutic toolkit. Has deep empathy for the human condition with all the messy parts. Can connect with the executive dealing with burnout AND the teenager whose family is facing eviction. Believes quality mental health care shouldn't be a luxury. Is comfortable working with Medicaid clients and understands that financial struggles don't define a person’s commitment to therapy. Is detail-oriented and understands the importance of keeping detailed client notes. Requirements: LMSW seeking supervision hours. Minimum 1 year direct clinical experience. Available for in-person, evenings, OR weekends (at least 2 of these). 12+ hours weekly commitment. Genuine commitment to serving diverse communities. A deep understanding of how poverty and systemic issues impact mental health. A sense of humor (because sometimes that's what gets us through).
