As a 4th‑Grade Teacher, you will develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines, establish effective rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge for an effective educational foundation in accordance with each student’s ability. How You Will Impact Education Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the company’s philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study. Create purposeful lesson plans that provide effective teaching strategies and maximize time on task. Present subject matter to students to maximize learning opportunity and provide real‑world, application‑based examples. Review student records to understand each student’s abilities and needs, maintaining accurate and complete records. Strive to maximize each student’s educational achievement. Utilize a range of student learning modalities in each lesson and apply differentiated instruction. Use frequent diagnostic assessments, assess strengths and weaknesses, provide appropriate activities, and generate progress reports as required. Refer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnel, assign lessons, correct student work, and review oral presentations. Coordinate field trips as required. Prepare students for state‑required achievement assessments. Keep current in subject‑matter knowledge and learning theory, sharing insights for curriculum improvement. Assist in the ongoing curriculum revision process, including written courses of study and selection of instructional materials. Become acquainted with supplemental services beneficial to students as an extension of regular classroom activities. Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests. Maintain positive rapport with students; demonstrate patience and nurturing to assist growth. Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and displays student‑generated work appropriately, implementing all relevant conduct policies. Develop reasonable classroom/playground rules, maintain order fairly and consistently. Instructional Planning Develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and goals. Plan individual and group learning activities designed to meet instructional objectives and individual student needs. Prepare for classes assigned and provide evidence of preparation upon request. Participate in curriculum planning meetings with staff. Incorporate diagnostic information as required in the student’s IEP. Take precautions to protect supplies, equipment, materials, and facilities needed for effective instruction. School/Community Relations Establish cooperative relations and communicate with parents/guardians when appropriate. Communicate clearly, consistently, and positively with parents via appropriate mediums. Cooperate with administration and staff. Maintain confidentiality of student records and participate in parent communication activities. Participate in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture as required. Required Qualifications and Skills Enthusiasm and commitment to the position and company mission. Strong time‑management, organizational, and prioritization skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with teachers, students, parents, community, and administration. Excellent interpersonal skills—courteous, professional, and collaborative. Proficient communication skills: oral, written, active listening, and negotiation. Reliability: consistently on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and seeks feedback. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), student information systems, and email. Commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and character education. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent; valid teaching certification as appropriate. One to three years of successful teaching experience (including student‑teaching internship). Command of grade‑level subject content and learning theory, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques. Understanding of and commitment to company values. Successful background check (criminal and employment). Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication in line with the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession. Other duties as assigned. Work Environment Usual school working conditions; may be noisy during periods of high student traffic. Physical Demands No physical exertion required. Somewhat stressful due to frequent student activity. Light work: may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
