Software Engineer (Full-Stack / Product)

Role Description

At Hilbert’s AI, we shorten "months" to "minutes." We are looking for Software Engineers who are "Product Architects" to build the Hilbert Portal, the interactive face of our AI engine.

• You are building the "cockpit" for world-class B2C leaders.
• Own the end-to-end experience of human-AI collaboration.
• Handle long-running asynchronous tasks, streaming reasoning loops, and multi-turn conversations.
• Maintain strict security and configuration requirements of a Fortune 500 enterprise.

The Hard Problem: Determinism in a Generative World

• Design systems where the Auth method (SAML, OAuth, etc.) or the underlying Database can be swapped out based on customer infrastructure.
• Responsible for state management and backend services for non-deterministic interactions.
• Move from "napkin sketch" to "production-ready service" in weeks using our Nx Monorepo and shared library architecture.
• Build internal tooling and admin panels for real-time monitoring, tweaking, and debugging of models.

Qualifications

• The Product-Minded Engineer: Care about the "Why" as much as the "How."
• The Full-Stack Generalist: Core stack includes TypeScript, Node.js (Express), React, and MongoDB.
• Systems Architect: Think about API contracts, containerization (K8s), and modularity from day one.
• Ambiguity Enthusiast: Energized by vague problems and autonomy to build solutions.

Requirements

• Build and scale the primary interface used by Fortune 10 operators.
• Lead the development of streaming, multi-turn, and "human-in-the-loop" interfaces.
• Build the "packaging" logic for diverse enterprise environments with zero code changes.
• Partner with Product Managers and AI/ML Engineers to bridge model outputs and user actions.

Bonus Points

• AI/ML UX Experience: Experience with streaming and state in LLM-powered chat or agent interfaces.
• Platform / Monorepo Mastery: Experience using Nx or similar tools for microservice architectures.
• Internal Tooling Junkie: Track record of building tools that enhance engineer productivity.
• Security Conscious: Understanding of building software that passes a SOC2 audit.

Location

• San Francisco or Istanbul.
• At least 5 hours overlap with PST timezone (7am-5pm).
