Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Variable (Days, Evenings, or Nights based on unit need) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Adapt to variable shift scheduling including days, evenings, and nights as determined by unit need
• Participate in equally divided weekend rotation among staff
• Float to Med/Surg and Long-Term Care units within scope as needed to meet facility demands
• Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
• Respond to and care for patients transported via fast boat and fixed-wing aircraft from surrounding isolated island communities

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN License (pending license will be considered; allow approximately 6 weeks for processing)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a critical access or rural hospital setting
• Experience caring for high-acuity patients in a regional referral or trauma center environment
• Familiarity with Level IV Trauma Center protocols and workflows
