Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: 2 years License: Active compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology - Skills in Blood/Blood Products Administration - Skills in Cardioversion/Defibrillation - Skills in Cooling/Warming Blankets - Ability to obtain 12 Lead EKGs Description: Perm candidates from any facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. The position does not accept first-time travelers. On-call requirement includes one weekday and one weekend per month, with hours varying between 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, as well as additional days and weekends as needed. The role includes responsibilities for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. The registered nurse will assist with central line insertion and management, blood product administration, cardioversion, chest tube placement, and other diagnostic procedures. The nurse will also monitor procedural sedation, perform sheath removal and monitoring, and contribute to the overall care and management of patients in this specialty. Strong candidates will meet the required skills and experience outlined above. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required during the compliance process prior to start. Modules are non-billable and must be completed pre-start and annually.
