Full-Time Respiratory Therapist
Provides specialized care to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders, working closely with physicians and teams to implement optimal treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Monitor and record patient responses to treatment.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Maintain and operate ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
- Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team calls.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and update patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and therapies.
- Ensure all equipment is sanitized, functional, and complies with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the NBRC.
- Current Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
