Civil Engineer

Education Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred for positions involving design approval and project oversight. Description The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and overseeing construction and infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing engineering plans, reviewing technical drawings, coordinating with architects, contractors, surveyors, and project managers, and ensuring that projects comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, safety requirements, and environmental regulations. The engineer may work on roads, bridges, drainage systems, commercial developments, utilities, structural improvements, and other infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include conducting site evaluations, performing engineering calculations, preparing project documentation, estimating quantities and costs, monitoring construction progress, identifying technical issues, and recommending practical solutions. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, quality, safety, and project schedules.
