Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Gate Verification in Palm Beach Gardens, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a residential community, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support residents and guests with professional communication and customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thu 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to unusual activity and policy violations. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access when required, and help to deter unauthorized persons and/or prohibited conduct on the property. Perform assigned duties at an armed post in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies, maintaining professional presence and sound judgment during interactions and response activities. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or corrections, or a college degree. Be at least 21 years of age. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. An armed guard card is required. A guard card license is required. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
