Nurse Aide InstructorThe Nurse Aide Instructor is responsible for providing comprehensive instruction to students enrolled in the Nurse Aide training program. This position involves teaching theoretical and practical skills required to prepare students for a career as Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs), ensuring compliance with state regulations and industry standards. The instructor will support students' learning and professional development through lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and clinical supervision.Teaching & InstructionDevelop and deliver engaging lesson plans covering topics such as basic patient care, infection control, safety protocols, and communication skills.Instruct students on the responsibilities and duties of a nurse aide, including ethical standards, legal issues, and workplace professionalism.Practical Skills TrainingConduct demonstrations and supervise hands-on practice in essential nursing aide skills, including patient hygiene, mobility assistance, taking vital signs, and medical documentation.Provide one-on-one support to students during lab exercises to ensure skill proficiency.Clinical SupervisionSupervise students during clinical rotations in approved healthcare settings, ensuring that they apply their classroom knowledge safely and effectively in real-world situations.Monitor and evaluate student performance during clinical practice, offering constructive feedback.Student Assessment and EvaluationAdminister quizzes, exams, and practical skill assessments to measure student progress.Provide regular feedback to students and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and certification eligibility.Program Development and ComplianceCollaborate with the Director to develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and syllabus to meet state guidelines and certification requirements.Professional DevelopmentStay current on healthcare trends, nursing best practices, and education techniques to provide students with up-to-date information and training.RequirementsQualifications:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.Prior teaching or supervisory experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or vocational training setting.Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Knowledge of state requirements for Nurse Aide certification.Working ConditionsClassroom, lab, and clinical environments.Flexible hours may be required to accommodate clinical schedules.
