Sealcoat Foreman

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Sealcoat Foreman to lead our sealcoating crew in the preparation and application of asphalt sealant on driveways, parking lots, and roadways. The Sealcoat Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily job site activities, managing crew performance, ensuring quality work, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage projects efficiently from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead a crew of sealcoat laborers and equipment operators Ability to manage multiple crews at a time Plan and coordinate daily job site operations, including material loading, crew assignments, and equipment setup Perform pre-sight visits prior to starting a job – barricading jobs if needed Perform post-site completion visits to the job – removing barricades if needed Ensure proper surface prep, crack filling, sealcoat application, and striping (when applicable) Monitor quality of work and ensure consistency in sealcoat thickness and coverage Communicate with customers or site contacts to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns Train and mentor crew members to improve safety, productivity, and workmanship Maintain accurate daily reports, crew timecards, and project documentation Ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly after each shift Enforce safety policies and ensure all crew members wear required PPE Troubleshoot issues on-site and coordinate with management as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements 3+ years of sealcoating or asphalt maintenance experience required 1+ years in a supervisory or crew lead role preferred Strong knowledge of sealcoat materials, spray and squeegee applications, surface prep, and traffic control Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to read work orders, layout jobs, and plan efficient execution Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus Comfortable working outdoors in heat and fast-paced environments Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physical labor daily Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Constantly Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: Constantly Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Constantly Talking and hearing to communicate with others: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment: Constantly Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers: Constantly Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like: Occasionally Operating machinery and/or power tools: ConstantlyOperating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Occasionally The ability to travel regionally or nationally: Rarely Physical Demands Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing: Standing Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Occasionally Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds: Constantly Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more: Rarely Working Conditions Low temperatures: Occasionally High temperatures: Constantly Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind: Constantly Noisy environments: Constantly Hazardous conditions: Constantly Shift work, to include overnight work: Occasionally Frequent overtime, including weekends: Constantly Office environment: Rarely Equal Opportunity Employer We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and comply with OFCCP regulations.
