Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ER patients using established standards of care and the nursing process
- Perform triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, IV therapy, wound care, and administration of medications per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Supervise and direct activities of licensed practical nurses and other nursing support staff on the shift
- Document care accurately and maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection prevention standards
- Apply critical thinking and independent judgment in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department

Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific as applicable)
- ER nursing experience preferred
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work nights and manage high-acuity patient situations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
- Eligibility for a travel assignment and ability to work in Bakersfield, CA
