Pay Range: $19.00 - $23.50

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary 

Regal Boats is looking for a dependable and hardworking Landscaper to help maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of our headquarters and surrounding grounds. This position is responsible for routine landscaping, grounds maintenance, and general outdoor upkeep across the property.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather, and can work independently while also being a reliable member of the Maintenance team.

1. Maintain lawns, landscaping, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and other landscaped areas throughout the facility.
2. Mow, edge, trim, weed, blow, and perform other routine groundskeeping tasks.
3. Plant, prune, mulch, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation.
4. Operate landscaping and grounds-maintenance equipment safely and properly.
5. Monitor landscaping areas for weeds, pests, irrigation issues, damage, and other maintenance needs.
6. Assist with irrigation and watering systems, including identifying and reporting issues.
7. Keep outdoor areas, walkways, entrances, and common areas clean, orderly, and presentable.
8. Remove leaves, branches, debris, and other materials from landscaped areas.
9. Assist with seasonal landscaping projects and improvements to the property.
10. Maintain and properly store landscaping tools and equipment.
11. Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
12. Communicate maintenance needs, safety concerns, and equipment issues to the Maintenance Team Leader.
13. Assist the Maintenance team with other facility and grounds-related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

1. Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, maintenance, construction, or other outdoor labor experience preferred.
2. Ability to safely operate common landscaping equipment and hand tools.
3. Basic knowledge of lawn care, plant maintenance, trimming, and landscaping practices.
4. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in Florida's heat and varying weather conditions.
5. Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials and equipment.
6. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, professional property.
7. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
8. Conversational English. 

Work Environment Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature, reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10-hour days with most of the time being on their feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
