Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Seeking an experienced full-time Orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join a growing musculoskeletal and surgical services team in Southern Maine, supporting a busy orthopedic service line in both clinical and surgical settings. Position Highlights: Provide comprehensive orthopedic care in outpatient, inpatient, and perioperative settings First assist in orthopedic surgeries including joint replacement, fracture repair, and sports medicine procedures Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations and follow-up care Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions Order and interpret imaging studies and laboratory tests Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams Participate in a high-volume, established orthopedic service line with strong referral support Provide patient education and individualized treatment planning Qualifications: Experience required Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Active or eligible Maine state license NCCPA certification (PA-C) or appropriate NP certification required Two years orthopedic or surgical experience required Strong clinical judgment and procedural interest Excellent communication and team-based care skills Compensation & Benefits May Include: Competitive compensation package with potential productivity incentives Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan with employer contribution Paid time off CME allowance and professional development support Malpractice coverage included Relocation assistance available Location & Lifestyle: Enjoy life in a welcoming Southern Maine community that offers a strong balance of professional opportunity and quality of life.
