Registered Nurse, Telemetry (Day Shift)
ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Telemetry (Day Shift) in Los Angeles, California.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30), every other weekend coverage required.
Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit will care for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics, utilizing essential cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills. This role involves floating to Medical-Surgical and other Telemetry units as needed. The ideal candidate must possess strong telemetry interpretation skills and be familiar with the EPIC charting system.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
- Provide care to patients pre and post cardiac procedures such as angiograms and surgeries.
- Administer blood products and manage central and PICC lines.
- Assist with the care of chronic and long-term ventilated patients, including management of CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy care.
- Utilize Rapid Response Teams effectively and participate in emergency response situations.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
- Ability to float to Med-Surg and other Tele units.
- Experience with electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active California Registered Nurse license required.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
- Completion of the Relias EKG test and passing of an onsite EKG competency exam prior to start.
