About Roof Squad

Roof Squad is a fast-growing, technology-driven roofing company focused on building high-performance canvassing and sales teams through structured training, leadership, and field execution.

We are hiring a Field Sales Manager to lead our Houston residential roofing sales team directly from the field. This is a hands-on, player-coach leadership role for someone who leads by example — knocking doors, running ride-alongs, coaching reps in real time, and building a high-performing team.

This role also includes an important additional responsibility: recruiting and developing new sales reps to grow the team and improve overall production and performance metrics.

What You’ll Do

Field Leadership & Sales Execution

  • Lead from the field daily through ride-alongs and active door-to-door canvassing
  • Coach and develop new and existing reps in real time during field activity
  • Run territory-based canvassing strategy and help build a strong self-generated lead pipeline
  • Conduct roof inspections (OSHA-compliant, ladder safety required) and train reps to do the same
  • Teach the full sales process including storm damage education, insurance claims, and closing techniques
  • Maintain CRM discipline, pipeline tracking, and weekly performance reporting

Recruiting & Team Growth

  • Actively recruit new sales representatives to build out the Houston team
  • Identify and engage strong candidates who can be developed into high-performing reps
  • Help onboard and ramp new hires through our structured 2-week sales boot camp
  • Ensure new reps successfully transition from training into first sales and ongoing production
  • Build a team culture focused on performance, accountability, and growth

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary (Step-Down Structure)

  • Months 1–6: $80,000–$100,000 annual base (depending on experience while building the team)
  • Month 7 onward: $75,000 annual base (once team structure is established and stabilized)

Commission Structure

  • 2% of collected team revenue (override commission)
  • 30% of gross profit on personally closed deals (personal sales commission)

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong door-to-door / canvassing background with proven field success
  • Experience in home services (roofing, solar, exteriors, pest control, security, etc.)
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead sales teams
  • Natural coach who develops reps in the field, not just in classroom settings
  • Comfortable working outdoors, climbing ladders, and conducting roof inspections safely
  • CRM experience, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
  • High accountability, strong communication, and leadership mindset

Nice to Have

  • Insurance claims or storm restoration experience
  • Prior top producer performance before moving into leadership roles
  • Experience scaling a canvassing or field sales organization
