About the Role Capitol Academy and Capitol Elementary are respected Non-Public Schools (NPS) serving students with diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our collaborative, student-centered team. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will help students develop the skills they need to participate successfully in school and everyday activities. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans.You will help students build fine motor, sensory, self-help, and functional skills while collaborating with educators and documenting student progress. We partner with local districts to provide individualized academic, behavioral, and socialemotional support in small class settings where teachers truly make an impact. What You will Do Implement occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Support students in developing fine motor, sensory regulation, and functional skills. Document therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to reinforce therapeutic strategies in the classroom. Assist with preparing therapy materials, equipment, and learning environments.
