Entry-Level Pet Food Nutritionist

If you’re early in your career and want real exposure to product development-not just data entry or lab work-this is a chance to get your hands in multiple areas of pet food production and nutrition.

A growing, international pet food manufacturer is adding an Entry-Level Nutritionist to their team in Mishawaka. This role works directly with formulation, quality, production, and procurement , giving you visibility into how products actually move from concept to market.

You won’t be siloed-you’ll be part of the process.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support pet food formulation development and nutritional balancing
Analyze ingredients, nutrient profiles, and specifications
Assist with new product development and testing
Partner with quality and production teams to ensure consistency and compliance
Research industry trends, ingredients, and innovations
Help maintain accurate formulation and nutritional documentation

What They’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Food Science , or similar
Understanding of nutrition principles and feed formulation basics
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Comfortable working cross-functionally with different teams
Experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Internship or early experience in pet food, feed, or animal nutrition
Exposure to formulation software or tools
Familiarity with AAFCO or regulatory standards
