Shipping, Receiving and Parts ClerkDalton Ag is a brand forged in America's heartland and proud to be the premier fertilizer application equipment manufacturer since 1996.As a Shipping, Receiving and Parts Clerk, you will be responsible for loading and unloading parts in our facility, shipping parts, and cycle count inventory. Additionally, this position is responsible for verification of accuracy of all inbound shipments, preparing, loading, and shipping parts orders, and providing direct contact customer service for the Parts department. Ideal candidate will also have demonstrated forklift experience for loading and unloading parts, and other components onto/from flatbed, trucks, and trailers.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Duties and Responsibilities:Receives shipments and verifies the countPrepares receiving confirmation for accounting departmentBuild and assemble parts as needed per order and to fulfill production requirementsStocks and stores shipments in appropriate locationsOperates forklift to load and unload freight and parts shipmentsShips parts using UPS WorldShip and other shipping/freight companies as requiredProvide back-up assistance for parts phone callsProvide superior customer service skills in person and through phone callsPicks and packages of customer parts orders to packaging standardsEnsures parts and freight shipments are completeReceives parts for each job from stockroom or related areasKeeps inventory of supplies such as shipping tape, boxes, banding, and other as requiredKeeps supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignmentsGood housekeeping skills for a clean and organized work areaAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, customer focused environmentDevelops working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to changeWorking knowledge of UPS WorldShip and other freight/shipping/trucking proceduresStrong attention to detail with data entry into ERP system (Epicor)Ability to read and match parts books, diagrams, and part numbers to the correct partsGood understanding of mechanical principles and equipment operationEffective written and verbal communication skillsGood math and computer skillsWillingness to work in other areas of manufacturing floor as neededReport on all near-misses, incidents, injuries, illnesses, including mobile equipment or property damage.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)One year of related experience in shipping and receiving or manufacturing experienceCustomer service experience preferredPhysical Expectations:The physical requirements described here are representative of an employee able to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
