Instructional Technology & Curriculum Coordinator Job Description The Instructional Technology & Curriculum Coordinator provides school-level technical support for Classical Preparatory School. The Coordinator supports staff and scholars with devices and digital platforms, and maintains campus systems, including the network, cameras, gates, telephones, and the public address system. The Coordinator also manages school-owned curriculum from ordering through distribution, collection, and inventory, and provides classroom and campus coverage as needed. Overview Position: Full-time, exempt Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM daily, 214 days, plus occasional nights and/or weekends as necessary Benefits: New full-time employees are eligible for insurance coverage beginning the first of the month following 60 days of employment, a 3% match of employee retirement contributions with a two-year vesting period, and 12 days of PTO Reports To: Chief Operating Officer * Work hours are subject to change. Specific tasks required of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Duties and Responsibilities The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Support classroom and office technology, including staff and scholar devices, projectors, document cameras, printers, telephones, copiers, and servers, and instruct users on basic operation Respond to technology work orders and staff inquiries within 24 business hours, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and recommend or complete repairs as needed Oversee cybersecurity of school devices, including endpoint protection, content filtering, patching, and administrative credential practices Campus Systems Manage the wireless network, including access points, switches, routers, firewalls, and cabling; monitor coverage and bandwidth; and troubleshoot outages with the internet service provider Manage interior and exterior camera systems, verify daily that cameras are online and recording, and retrieve and securely share footage at the request of administration or law enforcement Manage entrance and exit gate access control, including codes; issue and deactivate credentials; monitor daily gate operation; and implement manual procedures when a gate is inoperable Manage the telephone and public address systems, including extensions, voicemail, call routing, bell schedules, and classroom intercom and emergency call functions, and verify regularly that all phones and speakers are working Set up and operate sound and audiovisual equipment for assemblies, ceremonies, athletic events, and school programs, and support public address use during emergency drills and lockdown procedures Maintain documentation of network layout, equipment locations, credentials, warranties, and service agreements Vendors, Inventory, and Insurance Claims Serve as the primary point of contact for technology, network, camera, gate, telephone, and public address vendors; initiate service calls, obtain quotes, escort vendors on campus, and verify work before sign-off Maintain accurate inventory and maintenance records for all school technology, assist in the selection, ordering, and installation of new equipment and software, and keep spare parts and supplies on hand to minimize classroom downtime Maintain surge protection, grounding, and backup power on servers, network gear, cameras, gates, and telephone and public address systems, and protect equipment ahead of severe weather Inspect and document technology systems following lightning strikes, surges, and storm events, and prepare documentation for technology-related insurance claims, including serial numbers, photographs, and repair estimates Coordinate loaner equipment and temporary workarounds so instruction continues while damaged systems are repaired, and notify the Chief Operating Officer of any loss with an operational or financial impact Create a digital system to check in, barcode, and log new curriculum and teacher resources as orders arrive, and maintain accurate inventory records Update the inventory management system each year with scholar, teacher, and curriculum information Check out curriculum and teacher resources to teachers and scholars at the start of the year, and coordinate Grammar School and Logic/Rhetoric School curriculum pick-up and textbook distribution Deliver curriculum to classrooms throughout the year for replacement copies, mid-year course changes, and newly enrolled scholars, and distribute scholar planners Collect curriculum at the end of the year and as scholars withdraw, conduct end-of-year inventory, and update the curriculum ordering spreadsheet with current counts Monitor stock levels and work with the Finance Manager when curriculum is short, providing title, edition, ISBN, quantity, vendor, and cost to support the purchase request Copy curriculum as needed, within copyright limits, until an order arrives; track pending orders and keep teachers informed of expected arrival dates Scan and digitize approved curriculum into shared digital folders, and coordinate with instructional staff on upcoming curriculum and novel transitions Coordinate quarterly family communication for missing or damaged curriculum, assess replacement fees, and work with front office and finance staff on collection Repair damaged curriculum as needed Instructional and Campus Support Provide classroom coverage as needed across grade levels Assist during carline as scheduled and during state testing as needed Provide administrative support to administrators and instructors, and complete other duties as assigned
