Clinical Education Specialist - Lead

Job Summary The Clinical Education Specialist Lead is responsible for the strategic design, preparation, and execution of hands‑on training experiences for Professional Education within the North America Global Education Solutions. The role supports R&D, Marketing, Education Grants, and Meetings and Conventions, collaborating with Sales, Professional Education, R&D, and Marketing leaders to develop customized educational experiences that meet stakeholder goals and comply with all legal, regulatory, and HCC policies. The position serves external healthcare professional customers in a lab setting to teach the safe and efficacious use of Johnson & Johnson products, acting as subject‑matter expert on anatomy, clinical procedures, disease states, and device technologies. Duties & Responsibilities Policies: Know and follow policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility. Training: Complete and re‑train in safety, environmental compliance, and product education; complete primary sales and Clinical Education training evaluations. Safety: Follow all company safety policies and promote safety to all associates in the work area. Product, Clinical, and Disease State Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge of Johnson & Johnson products and surgical procedures across specialties; translate this knowledge into comprehensible education for varied audiences. Teaching: Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, train, mentor, and coach associates in anatomy, medical language, and procedure steps; perform product in‑services on animate, inanimate, cadaveric, and simulated models. Program Development & Execution: Act as subject‑matter expert to advise on appropriate models, develop and execute hands‑on education, manage priorities, and maintain speed and accountability. Partnerships: Interact, dialogue, and educate all levels of internal and external customers; collaborate with Professional Education, R&D, Marketing, and Meetings and Conventions to create effective solutions and build strategic relationships with facilities and vendors. Business Acumen: Translate business requirements into Clinical Education strategy and plans. Customer Insights: Acquire and translate customer insights to the organization regarding unmet needs and future educational and product offerings. Market and Industry Knowledge: Understand market, industry, competitor, legal, and regulatory knowledge to shape Clinical Education offerings. Project Management: Lead Clinical Education projects, develop measurable plans with objectives, milestones, resources, and deliverables, and contribute to innovative product and service solutions. Travel Requirements Overnight travel may be required up to 70%. Requires routine air travel. Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree required. 4–6 years of experience in a business environment – preferably orthopedics, healthcare industry, or clinical setting. Operating Room or healthcare professional facing experience preferred. Education and/or training experience preferred. Product, clinical, and disease state knowledge of sports medicine or joint reconstruction preferred. Experience in complex scheduling and execution of projects/events preferred. Experience working with cadaveric tissue preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications & Affiliations Collaboration and teamwork. Big‑picture thinking with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Strong presentation and public‑speaking skills. Extensive product and procedure knowledge and applications. Ability to utilize and learn new technology and applications. Project leadership experience. Benefits Summary Employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Eligible employees may participate in the company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)) and the long‑term incentive program. Time‑off benefits include up to 120 hours of vacation per calendar year, up to 40 hours of sick time (56 hours for Washington State residents), up to 13 days of holiday pay (including floating holidays), and up to 40 hours of work/family time per calendar year. Pay Transparency The anticipated base pay range for this position is $94,000.00 – $151,800.00, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
