Store Manager in Training

Overview Store Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development-focused role designed to prepare candidates for a CVS Store Manager position. The 16‑week program is self‑paced and collaborative, featuring virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Responsibilities & Expectations Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion. Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage colleagues in support of the company's purpose of “helping people on their path to better health.” Be willing to accept promotion roles in the market you work in. Required Competencies Communicate well verbally and in writing to support and lead your team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required). Four‑year college degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Potential Promotion Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position. Promotion is dependent on performance, availability of openings, and other factors. Employment Type Full time Anticipated weekly hours: 45 Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $18.50–$23.88 per hour. The range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade; the actual base salary offer will vary based on experience, education, geography and other factors.
