Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and possess the necessary certifications to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU, managing a patient load of 1:2.
• Administer titratable and set rate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Current valid Registered Nurse license.
• Must possess certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience required.
• Strong ability to titrate intravenous medications and manage complex patient care needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

• The ICU has 12 beds, with a focus on handling a variety of critical care diagnoses, such as abdominal pain, chest pain, and dyspnea.
• Registered Nurses are responsible for reading their own telemetry strips; no telemetry techs are present on the unit.
• The shift schedule allows for self-scheduling and block scheduling, with weekend and holiday requirements expected based on department needs.
• Professional attire is navy blue scrubs, maintaining a standard of professionalism within the clinical setting.

Orientation

All clinicians must be present in state for the week of orientation, which will include both in-person and remote modules.
