Quality Assurance Tech II

I’m hiring on behalf of a client, a global leader in robotics, automation, and e-commerce technology, seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the testing of advanced robotic fulfillment and automation systems. This is a hands‑on, primarily manual testing role working directly with robotics hardware and physical systems in an in‑house test environment. The QA Engineer will partner closely with hardware engineers, developers, and other QA professionals to test new functionality, validate system changes, troubleshoot defects, and ensure product quality prior to production deployment. Responsibilities Create and execute manual test plans and test cases for complex robotics and automation systems Perform hands‑on system‑level, functional, and integration testing across hardware and firmware Identify, reproduce, document, and validate defects Troubleshoot issues and partner with engineering teams to support root cause analysis Review product requirements and technical changes to determine testing impact and appropriate coverage Execute testing directly on robotics hardware in an in‑house test environment Validate bug fixes, firmware updates, new hardware, and system changes Document test results and maintain accurate testing documentation Participate in design reviews, scoping discussions, sprint meetings, and team stand‑ups Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to coordinate test coverage and share findings Recommend improvements to testing processes and approaches Qualifications 2+ years of Quality Assurance, systems testing, hardware testing, or related experience Hands‑on manual testing experience with physical systems or equipment Experience creating and executing test cases and test plans Experience identifying, documenting, and troubleshooting defects Understanding of QA methodologies and testing processes Experience with JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, or similar QA/testing tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with technical and engineering teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with robotics, industrial automation, autonomous systems, or hardware/system integration Experience testing complex physical systems Exposure to conveyor, sortation, ASRS, fulfillment, or other automated systems Experience with firmware testing Familiarity with safety or compliance testing Python or other scripting experience is a plus but is not required What You’ll Work On You’ll join a highly collaborative testing environment supporting advanced robotics and automation technologies used in large‑scale fulfillment operations.
