The role involves providing direct patient care activities for all age groups. It includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Nurses will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments. The position requires adherence to established guidelines of nursing practice. Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information is essential. Nurses must evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers. Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on patient care needs. The position may involve significant physical demands, including standing and walking. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids is anticipated. Physically, nurses may need to lift, turn, and assist patients. The focus will be on care for patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. All duties must be performed consistently with our mission, values, and standards.
