Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Emergency Department serving all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• Assess, monitor, and treat patients presenting with conditions such as respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis-related issues, and hypertension
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, adjusting as needed based on patient acuity
• Operate GE monitoring equipment and standard ED equipment in accordance with facility protocols
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Float to like assignments as required and collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Associate of Nursing degree or higher
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EHR system strongly preferred
• Team-oriented, engaged, and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
