Order Picker

This role focuses on accurately verifying, preparing, and documenting customer orders before they are shipped. You will handle physical products, perform detailed quality checks, and use warehouse technology to ensure that every order is complete, correct, and ready for on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review picked orders thoroughly to ensure all items are correct before they are sent to shipping.
• Lift and move products weighing approximately 30–40 pounds throughout the workday.
• Perform quality inspections on products, checking for errors, defects, or discrepancies.
• Assist with order picking as needed to support overall warehouse workflow.
• Use RF scanners and pick links to upload and maintain accurate order documentation.
• Verify all orders for 100% accuracy in product type, quantity, and destination.
• Process bulk orders by breaking them down into smaller orders by location.
• Use work orders to verify the correct product and quantities required for each order.
• Count items, including individual pairs of socks, to ensure precise quantities for each order.
• Use computers to enter order data and print shipping labels accurately.
• Verify product type and quantity multiple times throughout the process to maintain high accuracy standards.
• Support general warehouse tasks such as packing, inventory handling, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with order picking and packing in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift and move 30–40 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
• Proficiency using RF scanners for order processing and product verification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, checking, and verifying orders.
• Comfort working with computers to enter data and print shipping labels.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift in an open warehouse environment.
• General labor and inventory handling experience.
• Capability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality and accuracy.

Work Environment

This position is based in an open warehouse environment where you will stand for the entire shift while performing order picking, verification, and packing tasks. You will regularly use RF scanners, pick links, and computers to manage orders and shipping documentation. The work involves consistent lifting of 30–40 pounds and repetitive motion tasks. The dress code is casual and practical, typically jeans, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes, suitable for an active warehouse setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Mankato, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
