Head of Solutions & DeliverySeries B Healthcare AI Company | Austin, TX | Executive Level | Full-TimeABOUT THE COMPANYOur client is a Series B healthcare AI company building infrastructure that reduces the administrative burden embedded in healthcare operations. The platform uses agentic AI to automate and accelerate real workflows inside payer environments (think: prior authorization, clinical review, claims processing, audit) with human oversight built in at every step.This is not an experimental company. The platform is live in production with major U.S. health plans and the company is growing fast. The team is lean, technically serious, and focused on execution.THE OPPORTUNITYThe company has scaled quickly. The delivery organization now supports multiple large enterprise accounts simultaneously. The Head of Solutions & Delivery is a new role created to address an operational gap as the company scales rapidly.The person in this role will own the delivery function day-to-day. That means leading customer onboarding and platform deploymentmanaging a large cross-functional team of solution engineers, architects, and implementation managers, and serving as the senior presence in the hardest customer conversations. When something breaks or a major health plan is frustrated, this person gets in the room and drives resolution.This is a player-coach role. The right person has deep technical ability and knowledge from prior career experience as an engineer or architect, and uses it to earn credibility with both customers and internal teams. They also know how to truly lead peoplecoach and support a teambuild accountability, and keep a team grounded in difficult moments.The scope is broad but the mandate is clear: make enterprise healthcare AI deployments repeatable, scalable, and successful at a company that is moving quickly through a consequential period of growth and affecting meaningful change in healthcare.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDelivery LeadershipOwn the end-to-end delivery function across all enterprise customers - payers, providers, and managed care organizations.Lead customer onboarding, platform integration, and AI workflow deployment through go-live and into steady-state operations.Build and enforce delivery methodologies: phased rollouts, integration playbooks, UAT, and cutover planning.Define and track delivery KPIs, including time-to-value, deployment velocity, and customer health metrics.Customer EngagementServe as the senior delivery executive for key accounts. Build direct relationships with client stakeholders including CIOs, VPs of Utilization Management, and IT leadership.Step into high-stakes customer situations - program stalls, escalations, scope challenges - and drive resolution.Maintain close alignment between customer expectations and what the delivery team can realistically execute.People & Team ManagementManage and develop a growing team of solution engineers, implementation managers, and clinical informatics staff. This will be one of the largest people management responsibilities in the technical organization.Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Coach individuals through difficult customer situations and provide real-time feedback after hard calls.Hire and onboard new delivery talent as the customer base expands.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork directly with Product and Engineering to translate deployment learnings into platform improvements.Partner with Sales and Solutions to ensure pre-sales commitments are scoped and deliverable.Contribute to delivery operations: resource planning, risk management, and program governance across multi-stakeholder engagements.IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILERequired15+ years in the technology industry, with at least 5 in health tech and at least 5 leading a delivery or implementation team.Demonstrated experience deploying enterprise healthcare platforms into complex payer or provider environments like claims, utilization management, care management, or clinical workflow systems.Technical depth built through a prior career as an engineer or architect. Not necessarily a coder today, but someone who can follow the architecture, evaluate tradeoffs, and be credible in a technical conversation.Hands-on experience shipping products that incorporate LLMs, RAG pipelines, or AI agents, either as a builder or as the delivery lead responsible for production outcomes.Strong people management experience, including leading large cross-functional teams and developing individuals in high-pressure environments.Executive presence with enterprise customers. Comfortable with C-suite stakeholders and equally comfortable at the operational level.AI-native working style. Uses AI tools actively in day-to-day work and operates efficiently in an environment where these tools are evolving quickly.Based in Austin, TX. This role requires regular on-site presence to support the local team and customer engagements.Strongly PreferredBackground in a high-growth health tech startup or AI-native company.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.Experience with CMS-regulated programs: Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or commercial payer workflows.Certifications in cloud, solution architecture, PMP, Lean, or Agile.The Person Who Will Thrive HereCalm under pressure.Exceptionally high emotional intelligence.
