Quick Facts: Location: 320 Hospital Drive, Martinsville, VA 24112 Start Date: 08/03/2026 End Date: 07/31/2027 Shift: 4 shifts per week, 8-10 hours per day (pending patient volume) Hours/week: Approximately 32-40 hours Employment Type: Temporary/Locum Licenses/Certs: Medical license in Virginia; Board Certified/Eligible in Hematology/Oncology preferred Experience: Prior outpatient and oncology experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Hourly pay rate: $1.00 (discussed upon application) Weekly pay via direct deposit Competitive pay packages Comprehensive medical coverage (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time according to applicable laws Reimbursement for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses 24/7 dedicated support team throughout your assignment What You’ll Do: Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care to established patients Manage a patient panel of approximately 12-15 patients daily Handle light call responsibilities via pager (2-5 calls per week, phone only) Collaborate with a team of 3 additional providers at the oncology center Follow established protocols and provide personalized patient care Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently Support the multidisciplinary team in the ongoing management of oncology patients What You Need: Active medical license in Virginia or eligible to obtain one Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology Prior outpatient and oncology experience preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Commitment to long-term placement and patient care continuity About the Assignment: This position is based at a leading facility in Martinsville, VA, specializing in hematology and oncology.
