EXCITING OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Breast Imaging Radiologist to take on the role of Senior Medical Director at our established, hospital-affiliated Breast Center. A fellowship in Breast Imaging is a prerequisite. This position offers a favorable schedule with no on-call duties, night shifts, or weekend work.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

• The initial two-year contract includes a base salary of $733,043.

*Note: For candidates who are not yet board certified, the salary will be reduced by 5%, with adjustments made upon certification.

Additional Benefits Included in the 2-Year Contract:

• Vacation: 292 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO)

• CME/Books & Journals: 80 hours and up to $7,000 for continuing education

• Deferred Compensation: 457b plan allowing deferral of up to $24,500 annually before taxes, with no matching contributions.

• Retirement/Savings Plan: 403b plan permitting deferral of up to $24,500 annually before taxes for those under 50, and $31,000 for those over 50, with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 2% of base salary.

• Relocation Assistance: $10,000 provided for moving expenses.

Malpractice Insurance: Coverage under a claims-made policy with limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $6,000,000 aggregate.

Health Insurance: A minimal premium is deducted from the paycheck for coverage.

Liquidated Damages: A non-compete clause of 70 miles for two years, or liquidated damages equivalent to one year’s salary.

Medical School Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000 available ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment).

Residency Stipend: Up to $25,000, contingent upon a two-year service commitment.

Sign-On Bonus: 15% of the base salary, up to $100,000, payable upon signing the contract and forgiven over a period of 2-4 years based on the bonus amount.

• Bonus Incentives: Attractive bonus opportunities of up to 10% of the salary.

PRACTICE DETAILS:

• Location: Breast Center located at 1121 Kinneys Lane, Portsmouth.

• Office Hours/Work Schedule:

  • The Breast Center operates Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 12 PM.

  • Flexible scheduling options are available.

  • No on-call duties, weekends, or night shifts required.

• Staff Composition:

  • 1 Fellowship-trained Breast Imaging Radiologist

  • Breast Center Manager

  • Breast Navigators

  • Mammography Technologists

  • Ultrasound Staff

  • Support Staff

• Patient Load:

  • Average of 40-50 patients per day.

  • Office Procedures:

    • Stereotactic biopsies

    • Ultrasound-guided biopsies

    • Localization procedures

    • MRI-guided biopsies

    • 1-4 procedures performed daily on average.

All imaging modalities are fully digital and accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) through the American College of Surgeons.

  • Hologic mammography and stereotactic systems

  • Secureview

  • Ikonopedia

  • Dynacard

  • Brevera stereotactic biopsy system

  • GE ultrasound systems

  • MQ PACS

EXPECTATIONS:

• Engagement in Tumor Board meetings is required.

• Fellowship training in Breast Imaging Radiology is essential.
