Lab Assistant

Labcorp seeks a casual lab assistant for specimen processing and preparation in Seattle. The role involves receiving, sorting, and preparing clinical specimens for analysis while maintaining lab equipment and documentation in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing and analysis
- Assemble slides and requisitions; clarify specimen sites and testing details
- Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information
- Monitor lab equipment functionality and perform minor maintenance tasks
- Maintain clean, safe work environment and complete administrative records
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfort handling biological specimens and accurate specimen identification
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills
Compensation: $21.30 - $31.71 per hour
