Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Position Summary The Assistant Men's Basketball coach will assist the head coach in the planning and operation of a NCAA Division II program. Assist with the practice and game preparation as assigned; evaluate performances, make recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation in games. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate activities through the Head Men's Basketball Coach. Ability to effectively teach fundamentals, position details and strategies of basketball during preparation and practice sessions. Ability to motivate teams to become successful. Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the University community and the public. Ability to travel and recruit student-athletes. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to learn and comply with all policies and regulations of the University, and the NCAA. Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records. Ability to scout opponents. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in sports administration, management, business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Two to three years of experience in coaching and/or playing in the respective sport, ideally at the intercollegiate Division II level. Ability to recruit highly skilled student-athletes. Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic. Knowledge of NCAA rules. #J-18808-Ljbffr
