Job Title: Travel RN L&D Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year travel experience in high-risk OB License: RN License Certifications: NRP; Intermediate fetal monitoring; ACLS; BLS Must-Have: 1 year travel experience in high-risk OB L&D NRP Intermediate fetal monitoring ACLS BLS Description: The Labor and Delivery unit is seeking an experienced Travel RN. The unit has 23 beds and a dedicated staff. Day Shift consists of 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 6 RNs, 2 Certified Surgical Technologists, and 3 OR RNs. Night Shift includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 4-6 RNs, 1 Certified Surgical Technologist, and 1 Secretary. Patient ratios are 2:1. The unit utilizes EMR systems including CPN and Meditech. An on-call requirement includes 1 shift every 4 weeks. Floating requirements include working within women's health in postpartum and antepartum settings. Key skills sought after include OBED experience and high-risk/high-volume experience. Typical procedures performed on the unit involve high-risk OB care, including magnesium drips and insulin drips. The ideal candidate should be a team player and enjoy staying busy. This is an opportunity to work with new equipment and in a collaborative environment with experienced staff.
