You will play a crucial role in shaping decisions that enhance patient outcomes and the future of the nursing profession.

Position Overview and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Working alongside medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing support. The RN acts as a patient advocate, ensuring an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Carry out procedures or tasks as directed by the medical provider.
  • Accurately document care provided in the patient’s medical record in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required and must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • NIHSS Stroke Certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Our facility is a comprehensive center with over 230 beds, serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center and provide a full range of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women’s services. We are recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center, leading in emergency heart and stroke care.
