Refrigeration Technician

We are looking for a Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. As an Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing large-scale refrigeration systems used in industrial settings in food processing plants and cold storage warehouses. Your expertise will ensure that refrigeration equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key duties include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, replacing faulty components, and calibrating system controls. You will work with a variety of refrigeration technologies, including ammonia and Freon-based systems, and must be able to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Safety is paramount in this role, as you will handle hazardous materials and work with high-pressure systems. You must adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations and participate in ongoing training to stay current with technological advancements and best practices in the industry. Excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating with other technicians, supervisors, and clients. Responsibilities 

•  Install, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems
•  Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
•  Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment
•  Replace or repair faulty components and parts
•  Calibrate and adjust system controls and settings
•  Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals
•  Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
•  Document maintenance and repair activities
•  Coordinate with other technicians and supervisors
•  Respond to emergency repair calls as needed
•  Participate in ongoing training and certification programs

Requirements 

•  High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
•  Proven experience as an industrial refrigeration mechanic
•  Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and components
•  Ability to read and interpret technical documents
•  Familiarity with ammonia and Freon-based systems
•  Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
•  Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills
•  Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
•  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
