Position Summary

As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of The Fun Station Dubuque’s operations, from managing staff and ensuring guest satisfaction to driving revenue and maintaining safety standards. You’ll be the go-to leader, inspiring your team to deliver top-notch service while keeping the park running smoothly. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development :
• Hire, train, and mentor team members, cultivating a positive and accountable work environment.
• Identify and develop future leaders, including Operations Managers and Shift Supervisors.
• Lead by example, stepping into any park role as needed to support your team.
• Guest Experience :
• Ensure every guest has an exceptional experience by addressing customer service issues promptly and professionally.
• Engage with guests throughout the park to create memorable moments and gather feedback.
• Operations Management :
• Oversee daily park operations, including attractions, events, and safety protocols.
• Monitor and maintain the facility, ensuring all equipment is safe and operational.
• Manage inventory, cash handling, and vendor relationships in line with company policies.
• Revenue & Expense Oversight :
• Drive revenue growth through membership sales, birthday parties, and special events.
• Manage expenses and labor costs according to Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotions and strategies.
• Community Engagement :
• Build strong relationships with local businesses and community organizations to enhance The Fun Station’s presence and reputation.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a guest service or management role (amusement, entertainment, or restaurant experience is a plus).
• Strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to develop and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and manage budgets effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale software.
• Hands-on problem-solver with a positive, professional attitude.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and amusement industry standards is a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted.
