Position Overview:


As a Family Medicine Physician at Parkland, you will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to adult patients in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage a diverse patient population with a focus on preventive care, health education, and managing acute and chronic conditions.


This role is tailored for physicians trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, committed to delivering culturally competent, evidence-based, and patient-centered care in a busy outpatient clinic setting.


Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide high-quality outpatient primary care to approximately 20 adult patients daily, including detailed assessments such as medical histories, physical examinations, psychosocial evaluations, and diagnostic interpretation.
• Diagnosis & Management: Diagnose, treat, and manage acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and preventive healthcare needs based on clinical guidelines.
• Care Coordination: Develop individualized treatment plans, leveraging multidisciplinary teams and community resources to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
• Preventive & Wellness Services: Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and chronic disease management, empowering them to achieve better health outcomes.
• Telemedicine: Deliver virtual healthcare services through secure audio/video platforms and telephone consultations to enhance accessibility.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records within the EMR system, supporting quality improvement and compliance.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare staff, specialists, and community organizations to support holistic patient care.
• Quality & Compliance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhere to safety standards, and stay current with medical advancements through ongoing education.
• Operational Excellence: Contribute to workflow efficiencies, patient satisfaction efforts, and organizational goals.
• Additional: Not accepting locum, locum-to-perm candidates, or visa sponsorship; this position is strictly for permanent employment.

Qualifications & Certification Requirements:

• Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certification or Eligibility: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Licensure: Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas or eligibility for licensure
• Experience: Prior outpatient primary care experience preferred
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, respectful approach to patient care
• Additional Requirements: Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and serving diverse patient populations

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range (Note: Confidential - Do not publish publicly when sourcing candidates):
  • Minimum: $116.46/hour
  • Midpoint: $128.10/hour
  • Maximum: $140.91/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
• Work Schedule: Stable Monday-Friday outpatient schedule with no required call, ensuring an excellent work-life balance.
• Employment: Full-time, employed directly by Parkland Health, with a predictable, outpatient-only clinical environment.
