Responsibilities Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care as required. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Assesses learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. What We're Looking For Applicant must have a current Tennessee or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. BSN preferred. Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision; capable of functioning in a stressful environment. Experience: One year of previous experience preferred. Licenses: Licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a Compact State, with Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
