- Demonstrate and maintain a high level of competence and expertise in the teaching field or subject area.
- Develop, implement, and teach courses to meet individual student needs and ensure an effective learning experience.
- Evaluate and record student performance and achievement in a timely manner and provide prompt feedback to students and the administration to ensure learning outcomes are met.
- Participate as a contributing faculty member of the College, including participating in planning long-range and short-term goals for the department and College, as well as maintaining regular office hours and participating in faculty meetings.

- In order to perform these essential functions, the Instructor must be present at work. Therefore, attendance is an essential job function.
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related healthcare field from a regionally accredited institution is required.
- Must have two years of related work experience.
- Must meet the educational and credentialing requirements for the teaching discipline, including registration in at least two (2) of the following specialties: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Adult Echocardiography, or Pediatric Echocardiography.
- Must have demonstrated competence in each area of instruction, teaching experience at the college level preferred.
- Must be proficient in curriculum development, instruction, student evaluation, and advising, and have knowledge and experience with a variety of instructional methods and strategies.
- Must be skilled in the use of instructional technologies to enhance learning and must be able to adapt to and incorporate new and emerging technologies.
- Experience with distance learning technology and practices is preferred.
