Construction Project Manager

Our client, an established provider of industrial and commercial infrastructure solutions, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction and service-related projects from planning through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing multiple projects, working directly with customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Wood Dale IL
Compensation: $100-120k base
Direct Hire
Responsibilities
Manage the planning, scheduling, execution, and completion of construction and service projects.
Oversee project budgets, profitability, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure successful project execution.
Monitor project schedules and deliverables to ensure contract requirements and customer expectations are met.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, customer communications, and project records.
Review project-related documentation such as bills of materials, testing reports, timesheets, and expense reports.
Track warranty claims, rework, and other project issues while driving timely resolution.
Lead project closeout meetings and identify opportunities to improve internal processes and project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of construction project management experience with the industrial / commercial sector.
Experience managing projects invovled capital equipment installations highly desirable.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a construction, industrial, manufacturing, or technical environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee project documentation and reporting.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to travel approximately 30% for customer meetings and project site visits.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
LEED accreditation or certification.
