Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Eureka, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room environment with an average daily census of approximately 105 patients
• Manage patient flow across a department with 20 rooms and 26 beds, supporting approximately 135 visits per day
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Adhere to weekend requirements, with an expected commitment of 3 out of every 6 weekends
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Maintain a valid California RN license throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license — pending licenses are not accepted
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room experience
• Must submit 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (Charge RNs or Lead RNs are acceptable)
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays upfront
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered; total RTO requests should not exceed 7 days
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-census, fast-paced emergency department
• Comfort floating to observation or ER hold units
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
