Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• Night shift position: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM on a Med/Surg Telemetry floor (MED/SURG A5)
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• Patient population spans all age groups
• Omnicell used for medication dispensing
• Meditech EHR
• Every-other-weekend requirement, with additional weekend hours as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required as needed, with possibility to float to similar Med/Surg units

Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• IV insertion proficiency required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• 167-bed Level III Trauma Center fully accredited by The Joint Commission
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• All candidates must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are not eligible for the travel rate
