Why This Role The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic and hands‑on partner to operations leadership at Green Dot Labs’ Arizona facility. This role exists to provide embedded HR support in a fast‑paced cultivation and manufacturing environment, helping leaders and employees navigate employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, and day‑to‑day HR execution. This is a highly visible role designed for someone who can balance practical HR support with long‑term people partnership, while helping build scalable people practices aligned with business goals and company culture at a single operating site. What You’ll Do Employee Relations & Leadership Support Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and performance management Coach supervisors and managers on leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, documentation, and consistent policy application Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and inclusion across the assigned site Plan and deliver routine HR training on core processes, policies, and people‑management practices Support employee engagement activities, recognition efforts, and culture‑building initiatives Compliance & Policy Administration Ensure compliance with federal, Arizona, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, leave administration, ADA, FMLA, and related employment requirements Promote understanding of company policies through training, refreshers, and employee communications Coordinate reporting and administration of workplace injuries and workers’ compensation claims Maintain accurate HR documentation, workflows, and site‑level compliance processes HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Support Execute onboarding administration for new hires, ensuring completion of required paperwork, checklists, and HRIS workflows Oversee employment eligibility compliance, including I‑9 and E‑Verify processing and related documentation Track and manage site‑specific credentialing requirements, including cannabis‑industry and role‑based compliance requirements Maintain accurate HRIS records for employee lifecycle changes, including hires, terminations, pay changes, transfers, and status updates Coordinate offboarding processes, including separation notices, benefits removals, and access deactivation Partner with payroll to support accurate timekeeping, leave tracking, attendance‑related documentation, and garnishment administration Serve as the local point of contact for leave of absence requests, coordinating paperwork, vendor communication, and state‑specific compliance requirements Maintain HR SOPs, process documentation, and decision records to support consistency at the site level State‑Specific Regulatory & Cannabis Compliance Maintain awareness of employment and workforce compliance requirements across Arizona Track and coordinate required cannabis‑industry credentials, including Arizona facility agent requirements, as applicable to assigned employees and roles Partner with operations leadership to support readiness for audits, inspections, renewals, and related compliance activity tied to the Arizona site Talent Acquisition & Workforce Support Manage full‑cycle recruitment for hourly, technical, and management roles at the Arizona site Coordinate job postings, candidate pipelines, interview scheduling, and onboarding logistics Partner with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and support workforce planning Strategic HR Partnership Provide input on corporate HR initiatives, policy updates, compensation reviews, and employee survey action planning Ensure HR programs and processes are practical, scalable, and aligned with operational needs Support organizational effectiveness as Green Dot Labs grows in Arizona What’s In It for You Opportunity to serve as a highly visible HR partner embedded directly in operations Meaningful ownership across employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, and day‑to‑day HR execution Exposure to both tactical HR work and broader organizational planning Ability to help shape scalable people practices in a growing Arizona operation Partnership with site leadership and corporate HR on workforce and culture priorities What Makes You a Great Fit 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Generalist, HRBP, or facility‑based HR leadership experience Strong knowledge of federal and Arizona employment law and HR compliance practices Demonstrated experience handling employee relations, investigations, and performance management Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and core HR operations Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and ability to manage confidential matters Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered HR certification such as PHR or SHRM‑CP preferred Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Must have, or be eligible to obtain, required Arizona cannabis‑industry credentials, including facility agent requirements, as applicable This is a facility‑based role embedded in manufacturing operations at the Arizona site. Standard schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends. Periodic travel to corporate or other company locations may be required. Benefits & Total Rewards We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full‑time employees working at least 30 hours per week, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, an HSA option for eligible plans, company‑paid basic life and AD&D insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. Benefits for most employees become effective the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Eligible employees may participate in the 401(k) plan after 90 days of employment, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
