Research Lead Technician This role serves as a specialist within the Department of Neurology, leading advanced technical and operational activities with minimal supervision. The incumbent designs and executes experiments, ensures data integrity, mentors new staff, and contributes to grant proposals and publications while utilizing diplomacy to manage partnerships. Key Responsibilities Conduct assigned experiments (e.g., histology, flow cytometry, behavior, PCR, gel electrophoresis, cell cultures). Oversee research data integrity and entry. Train and mentor new staff and students in specialized methods and equipment operation. Test and evaluate current procedures. Make decisions that may set new precedent with supervisory support. Summarize data and assist with the preparation of grant proposals, manuscripts, and publications. Qualifications Minimum education & experience: 1 year experience with a Bachelor’s Degree ; 3 years’ experience with an Associate’s Degree ; or 5 years’ experience with a High School Diploma . Successful completion of a background check is required; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre‑employment physical, including a drug screen. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
