General Machinist / General MechanicWe are seeking a General Machinist / General Mechanic to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and fabricate parts for production equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating machine shop equipment, reading blueprints, and using precision measuring tools. Candidates with a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.Pay: $20.00+ per hour Shift: 1st Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PMResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair manufacturing equipment and machineryTroubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes of equipment failuresOperate machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill pressesRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and machining drawingsFabricate replacement parts as neededInspect machine work to ensure quality standards are metCollaborate with production and maintenance teams to support production goalsFollow all safety procedures and company policiesQualifications1-2 years of machining or mechanical experience preferredCandidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn will be consideredBasic understanding of milling, drilling, and tappingAbility to read machining drawingsExperience using measuring tools including:Dial calipersMicrometersDepth micrometersHeight gaugesTelescoping gaugesForklift experience is a plusAbility to work effectively in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsMachining experience with milling and turning operationsBasic fabrication knowledge and experienceManufacturing or industrial maintenance experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for up to 10 hoursAbility to lift up to 50 poundsIND2
