Personal Injury Legal Secretary/Litigation Paralegal

Company L.A. Injury Attorneys is a dynamic Burbank‑based personal injury law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary/Paralegal for immediate consideration. Requirements Candidate must have: a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience; a valid driver’s license and personal transportation; authorization to work in the United States; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF; a typing speed of at least 65 words per minute. Experience with FileVine case management, Spanish language, and personal injury civil litigation is preferred. Job Description The Litigation Legal Secretary/Paralegal is responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys on a day‑to‑day basis and working closely with clients and team members to manage legal matters efficiently. Back up other secretaries during planned and unplanned absences. Draft, format, and proof‑read legal documents and correspondence. Correctly format court pleadings, including auto‑generation of tables of authorities and tables of contents. Research state and federal rules of court and ensure adherence with attorneys. File court documents electronically and with various courts where applicable. Assist with preparation for meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, trials and other proceedings. Review incoming mail and route to appropriate parties. Maintain case files and locate relevant information. Coordinate calendars with attorneys, paralegals, and clerks. Maintain attorneys’ attendance schedules. Prepare attorneys’ check requests and coordinate vendor payments. Handle high‑stress situations efficiently and accurately. Collaborate with firm employees cooperatively. Work overtime as needed to complete essential functions. Other functions as assigned. The role involves organizing litigated files and collaborating with a managing attorney to advance all assigned cases.
