Electrical Technician Supervisor

Position Overview:

We're partnering with an established manufacturing company in the industrial equipment space looking for an Electrical Technician Supervisor who wants to stay close to the work — not manage from a distance. This role is equal parts hands-on troubleshooting, team development, and cross-functional communication: you'll be diagnosing electrical issues on the floor, training technicians on assembly procedures and safety standards, and keeping engineering and company leadership informed through regular project status reporting. Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of electrical technicians and assemblers
• Conduct training on assembly procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards
• Assign work, monitor performance, and support individual development for team members
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Serve as the primary liaison between electrical assembly and design engineering — translating engineering changes and communicating production realities back to the design team
• Partner with engineers to resolve assembly challenges and improve manufacturability
• Support prototype builds and new product launches
• Drive quality compliance through inspection procedures and process discipline
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to reduce waste and improve product reliability
• Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions for assembly or electrical issues
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly or industrial manufacturing
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical components, control panels, and low-voltage systems
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and quality systems (e.g., IPC, ISO)
• Clear communicator who can work effectively across production and engineering teams
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and standard manufacturing documentation systems
• Bonus: Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or formal continuous improvement methodology (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma)
