Key Responsibilities Detect and educate patients on any obvious or potential dental concerns during hygiene visits in order to "pre-heat" the patient and create a seamless handoff to the doctor for the exam Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal care Perform thorough periodontal assessments and risk-based treatment planning Deliver scaling, root planing, and maintenance therapy at a high clinical level Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral images Educate patients on oral health, systemic health connections, and home care Communicate periodontal and restorative needs clearly and confidently Support case acceptance through patient education and relationship-building Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation Manage hygiene schedules efficiently while prioritizing patient experience Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team Ideal Skill Set & Qualities Strong periodontal and preventive dentistry knowledge Excellent communication and patient relationship skills High emotional intelligence and patient awareness Ability to motivate patients toward better oral health Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient Positive, professional, and team-focused Comfortable with digital dentistry and technology Proactive mindset with strong clinical ownership Passion for customer service and patient experience Requirements Active Florida Dental Hygienist license Local anesthesia certification preferred Experience or strong interest in periodontal therapy Previous clinical experience or formal training required Compensation & Benefits High hourly base rate Flexible scheduling options Opportunities for growth and continuing education Supportive and positive work environment Modern, well-equipped office Stable, privately owned practice If you are a motivated hygienist who values high-quality care, strong teamwork, and an excellent patient experience, we would love to meet you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
