Must-Have:

• 3+ years of experience in Labor & Delivery
• C-section experience required
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and actions taken for fetal distress
• Clinical background in high-risk patients
• Ability to care for patients with pre-eclampsia

Description:

The position involves working in a Labor & Delivery setting with a focus on providing quality care to patients. You will be responsible for monitoring patients throughout labor and delivery. Experience with high-risk patients is essential as you will need to manage potential obstetric emergencies until a provider arrives. The nurse may float to other units if needed. Caring for patients in both Labor & Delivery and couplet care may be required. You will work collaboratively with support staff, ensuring all necessary services are provided. Weekend shifts are required, contributing to a well-rounded scheduling approach. There will be a call requirement of one shift per 4-week schedule. Strong assessment skills are crucial for the role, especially in the absence of an in-house provider. This position includes the handling of a moderate number of births per day and a significant number per year. You will be part of a dedicated team that includes respiratory therapists and support staff.
